Meet Jacob

Dr. Jacob Gibson, PT, DPT initially graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from BYU-Idaho in 2017. Furthering his education, he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2020 from Idaho State University. Jacob has a passion for working with children of all ages and enjoys making their play therapeutic through guided movement patterns and positioning techniques. He has always had a love for working with kids and this was his focus throughout his education. That focus led him to experiences including participation in an Interdisciplinary Pediatric Evaluation Team and exposure to multiple pediatric clinics and therapy techniques. He has worked with a range of diagnoses, including Cerebral Palsy (CP), Chiari Malformation, Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, Charcot Marie Tooth, Hydranencephaly, Spina Bifida, Torticollis, Idiopathic toe walking, childhood orthopedic injury, and Global Developmental Delay. congenital, neurologic, or genetic disease resulting in severe impairments.  Jacob is passionate about working with kids because he feels they deserve to be able to function to their full capacity! He feels he is able to help them in a very playful way because their job is to have fun while learning and developing. Jacob is fluent in Spanish and is always eager to use that skill to enhance the quality of his care. He has two beautiful daughters of his own at home. In his free time, he enjoys getting outside for walks and camping with his family.
