Meet Sami

Sami is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who has been working with Advanced Therapy Care since 2017. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in School and Community Health Education in 2006 from the University of Idaho. After working for a few years and finding a passion for helping others, especially children, she decided to go back to school and received her Associate’s degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2015. She has been working in pediatric outpatient clinic’s since graduating and has assisted with school contracts.

Sami continues to broaden her knowledge on various topics and diagnosis through continuing education classes and workshops; sensory integration, implementing play-based therapy, and strategies for various behaviors. Sami enjoys working with kids of all ages on pre-academics, fine motor and gross motor skills for increased success in school settings, the community, and ADL’s. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, outdoor activities, and volleyball. Sami lives in Boise with her husband and beautiful daughter.
