Meet Teresa

Teresa earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Boise State in the 90’s and began working as a chef for more than 20 years. In pursuit of something more fulfilling and a desire to change career paths, she began assisting school aged children as a paraprofessional and quickly realized working with kids is where her passion is. In 2014, she completed the pre-professional program at Idaho State University (ISU) and continued pursuing her education, attaining her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology in the summer of 2018. Teresa has experience with early language, social communication, fluency disorders, speech and sound disorders and in working with individuals diagnosed with Autism. She continues to further her experience and knowledge in pediatric swallowing and feeding as well as other speech related educational courses. Teresa loves to help others. Working with each client brings her joy and she enjoys helping them improve their communication skills. Growing up, Teresa’s family was in the army and she lived in several locations within the US and in Germany and she feels this has given her a compassion for others and ability to have patience in challenging situations. In her free time, Teresa uses painting, photography and baking as creative outlets. Teresa has lived in Boise since 1986 and enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and hiking in the Boise foothills.
