Occupational Therapist

Meet Wendy

Wendy was raised in Silverdale, WA and graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in occupational therapy in 1991. She chose occupational therapy as a career because she wanted a job where she could really make a positive difference in an individual’s life. She loves working with the animated, energetic children here. She feels it is a privilege to help them to become more connected, efficient, and comfortable in their bodies so that they can optimize their growth and participation in self-care, play, and school; their occupations.

Wendy really enjoys learning and has completed over 200 hours of continuing education in pediatric occupational therapy. She has begun the extensive process to earn a certification in sensory integration treatment in 2019 and is wanting to specialize within this area of practice. Wendy feels she had a wonderful professional and personal growth experience in 2018 when she spent 3 months in Ecuador working in a private pediatric occupational therapy clinic. It is a beautiful country and she hopes to see more of it someday.

Wendy likes to be outside in her free time gardening, backpacking, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and walking my cocker spaniel and my beagle. She also enjoys yoga and baking at home where she lives with her husband. She has 4 grown children, having 2 right here in Boise, with her other two in CA and Louisiana, as well as 1 grandson also in Louisiana.
